Fayette County Parks are open from sunrise to sunset. Amenities include soccer fields, softball fields, football fields, disc golf courts, multiuse field, pavilions, playground areas, walking/jogging track & trails, and restrooms.

Picnic facilities

The Fayette County Parks & Recreation Department has picnic facilities at Brooks, Kenwood, Kiwanis, McCurry, Lake Horton, and Lake McIntosh Parks which may be reserved based on availability. Any group, organization or individual must complete a contract for rental, sign a clean-up procedure form, and pay usage fees according to the county in which they live. Reservations are taken on a "first-come, first served" basis and may only be reserved once every six weeks in advance of the event. Reservations must be made in person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office. Reservations for the weekend must be made by noon on Thursday of that week. Proof of residency will be required! Reservation time should include setup time and cleanup time.

Fees

Fees that apply are due at the time of reservation. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, credit cards, or debit cards.

Fee Schedule: Outdoor Picnic/Pavilion Facilities (2 Hour Minimum)
Resident                                  $30.00 per hour
Out-of-County Residents    $60.00 per hour

Refunds for the reservation fee will not be given; however, if your event is canceled due to inclement weather, the Parks & Recreation Department will reschedule your event based on availability.  In the case of inclement weather, the individual who reserved the facility must notify our office within two business days following the reservation date.  Failure to do so will void the permit and release the department from rescheduling the event.  The six weeks in advance rule does not apply, and rescheduling is based on availability.

Guidelines for Use of Facilities

The following is prohibited at all county facilities.
  • Drugs/Controlled substance/ Alcoholic beverages
  • Smoking/Tobacco products/ Vape products
  • Camping or lodging
  • Damaging or defacing property
  • Erecting signs or banners
  • Personal grills or open fires
  • Vehicles on sidewalks or playground/pavilion
Written permit issued by the Parks and Recreation Department required in conjunction with the following: 

  • Live bands or sound amplification devices 
  • Temporary carnival rides, inflatables, amusement rides
  • Vending or fundraising and/or political rallies or events
  • Fireworks or Drones
