Water Main Repair Update – Peachtree Parkway and McIntosh Trail

An additional evaluation indicates that the water observed at the valve box was likely caused by a vehicle traveling over the unpaved section of roadway, resulting in temporary surface water and not an active leak.

Fayette County Water System will continue to closely monitor the area until asphalt repairs are completed, and the valve box is fully secured. Coordination is underway to reopen the cart path.

Updates will be provided if conditions change or if further action becomes necessary.

We appreciate your continued patience as repairs are finalized.

***The Fayette County Water System (FCWS) has received a report of an individual impersonating a FCWS staff member and asking to enter a customer home to take a water sample. FCWS will never ask to come inside your home to collect a water sample or for any other reason. Our staff will always be in uniform and with an employee ID you can ask to see. We will always be in a marked FCWS vehicle or Fayette County vehicle.

If you are approached by someone you suspect is impersonating a FCWS employee, please report this information to our office at 770-461-1146 or by emailing water@fayettecountyga.gov. ***
