NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED POLLING PLACE CHANGE

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-265(a)

Notice is hereby given that the Fayette County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed change in a polling place location.

Date of Hearing:         Tuesday, February 24, 2026

Time:                            5:00 PM

Location of Hearing: Public Meeting Room,
                                       140 Stonewall Ave. West, Suite 100
                                       Fayetteville, GA 30214

The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments regarding the proposed relocation of the polling place for: 6- Flint.

Current Polling Location:             Berachah Bible Church
                                                            310 Corinth Road
                                                            Fayetteville, GA 30214

Proposed New Polling Location: McDonough Road Baptist Church
                                                            352 McDonough Road
                                                            Fayetteville, GA 30214

This change is being considered due to the previous facility wanting to continue to serve as a polling location.

QUALIFYING FEES NOTICE

General Primary and General Election – November 3, 2026
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-131(a)(1), the following qualifying fees for the upcoming General and General Primary Elections have been set by the governing authorities of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners during the January 22, 2026 meeting:

Board of Education Districts 2 and 4: $306.00

County Commission Districts 3 and 4: $687.00

State Court Judge: $5,528.15

Qualifying Period:
Qualifying for the offices listed above shall commence on Monday, March 2, 2026 beginning at 9:00 AM and shall conclude on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 12:00PM Noon. The General Primary and Nonpartisan Election will be held on May 19, 2026 and the General Election will be held on November 3, 2026.

Personal Property Reporting Forms

The Assessor’s Office has had a significant number of Personal Property Reporting Forms returned by USPS for various reasons including that the address is incorrect or that the property is vacant. We have verified the addresses and are attempting to mail the forms again. However, if you did not receive a 2024 reporting form for business, personal property, boats, airplanes, or freeport, these forms are available on the Assessors Office website: www.fayettecountyga.gov/assessors_office

RIGHT-OF-WAY TREE PRUNING & VEGETATION REMOVAL - BEGINS JANUARY 13, 2026 (weather permitting)
FCS Land Management, contractor for Fayette County, will begin tree pruning and vegetation removal on the following roads (in no particular order) January 13, 2026.
Antioch Rd, Westbridge Rd, Lees Mills Rd, Sourwood Trl, McElroy Rd, Tyrone Rd, and Spear Rd.
