Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-386(A)(3)-(4), notice is hereby given that the tabulation of returned, absentee ballots of votes cast for the November 3, 2026 General Election will take place in Fayette County’s Election Office located at 175 Johnson Ave., Ste. A Fayetteville, Georgia, 30214.

Risk Limiting Audit
Pursuant to SEB Rule 183-1-15-.04, a Risk Limiting Audit (RLA) shall be selected by the Secretary of State for the November 3, 2026 General Election. The contest to be audited shall be selected by the Secretary of State and shall be publicly announced and published on the Secretary of State webpage. In accordance with the Official Code of Georgia §21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the return votes cast in the General Primary Runoff Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 will commence at 7:00 PM on November 3, 2026 and conclude after all votes have been tabulated. FAYETTEVILLE VOTERS
Clarification of Referendum Heading
“FLOST” was included in error in the heading for the City of
Fayetteville homestead exemption question (House Bill 1581,
Act 685).
This question asks whether to approve a homestead exemption
from City of Fayetteville ad valorem taxes for municipal
purposes. It does not propose a sales tax.
The referendum question beneath the heading is unchanged.

NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Fayette County Administrative Complex Commission Chambers, 140 Stonewall Avenue West in
Fayetteville on October 1, 2026 at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Fayette County Administrative Complex Commission Chambers, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, Fayetteville on October 15, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 3.763 mills, an increase of 0.096 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 3.667 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of$575,000 is approximately $21.60 and the proposed tax increase for nonhomestead property with a fair market value of$625,000 is approximately $24.00.
