PUBLIC WORKS

The Division of Public Works consists of several Departments and over 90 employees who work together to maintain the County’s facilities, parks, transportation infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment.  Division responsibilities also include SPLOST and CIP project delivery, transportation planning, environmental management, solid waste management, implementation of Fayette County Development Regulations, engineering support, and coordination with federal and state agencies, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), and other local governments.

FLEET MAINTENANCEThe Fleet Maintenance Department is an internal service department dedicated to managing the full lifecycle of the county’s fleet, including preventive maintenance, repair, and fuel services.
