Why isn't glass recycled at the Transfer Station?

Vehicle congestion, limited staff, and the small percentage of glass recycled from single-stream has led the county to maintain its policy of not recycling glass. However, it remains a department priority to find resolution to for effective glass recycling. Feel free to contact solidwaste@fayettecountyga.gov with concerns or recommendation regarding glass recycling.
