Kozisek Dam is a Safe Dams Program Category I structure adjacent to and possible partially within the County right-of-way for Neely Road. The project includes evaluation, design, permitting, and construction of necessary improvements and changes to Neely Road to ensure it safely passes design flows and remove County liability/ownership associated with the dam. *Budget changes reflect action by the Board of Commissioners.

Latest Update:

10/11/2022 - Plans to rehabilitate the dam have been completed and approved by the GA Safe Dams Program. The County is pursuing a federal grant to fund 75% of the project.  

6/30/2023 - The County has been awarded a grant through the GA Safe Dams Program, which will cover up to 75% of the project, depending on the cost of the project.
