Realignment of SR 279 and Corinth Road Status: Design Last Updated: September 20, 2023 Anticipated Start of Construction: 2027
The purpose of this project is to align SR 279 with Corinth Road at a common intersection along SR 85, thereby eliminating a traffic signal and the associated turning movements. Doing so improves safety and operational efficiency (i.e., less delay). The project requires Federal-aid and support from GDOT since it involves two state routes.
