This project is for construction of a multi-use path and tunnel under Redwine Road, immediately south of the Robinson Road intersection, and 1,500 feet of new path on the west side of Redwine Road and Robinson Road to connect with existing paths. The purpose of this project is to provide a permanent and safe route for pedestrians, bicyclists, and golf cart operators to cross Redwine Road and access the Starr’s Mill School Complex.
Tunnel design revisions are currently in development with the County's Consultant to incorporate updated survey information and utility data. The Bridge Foundation Inspection (BFI) for tunnel foundation design is complete. In an effort to ease the burden on the traveling public, the 8-ft x 12-ft reinforced concrete box tunnel is anticipated to be constructed Summer 2024.
