Parks & Recreation Brooks Park

Fayette County Parks are open from sunrise to sunset.


Directions to Brooks Park

FROM FAYETTEVILLE:GA Hwy.85 South to GA 85 Connector, left on GA 85 Connector to Brooks, Left at Railroad tracks into park.

FROM TYRONE AND PEACHTREE CITY:GA Hwy. 74 south to GA Hwy. 85, left on GA Hwy. 85, right on 85 Connector to Brooks, left at Railroad tracks into park.

FROM LOVEJOY:US 19/41 south to GA Hwy. 81, right on GA Hwy. 81 to GA Hwy. 92, right on GA Hwy 92, then immediate left at Antique store, left on Antioch to 4 way stop, right on Brooks Woolsey, left on 85 Connector, left at Railroad tracks into park.

The Fayette County Parks & Recreation Department has picnic facilities at Brooks, Kenwood, Kiwanis, McCurry, Lake Horton, and Lake McIntosh Parks which may be reserved based on availability. Any group, organization or individual must complete a contract for rental, sign a clean-up procedure form, and pay usage fees according to the county in which they live. Reservations are taken on a "first-come, first served" basis and may only be reserved once every six weeks in advance of the event. Reservations must be made in person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office. Reservations for the weekend must be made by noon on Thursday of that week. Proof of residency will be required! Reservation time should include setup time and cleanup time.

Fees

Fees that apply are due at the time of reservation. The reservation charge may be in the form of cash, check, or money order.

Fee Schedule: Outdoor Picnic/Pavilion Facilities
Resident $30.00 per hour
Out-of-County Residents $60.00 per hour

All vehicles with a Non-Fayette County tag must display an annual pass for admission to Lake Horton, Lake McIntosh, and Lake Kedron. The annual pass fee is $300.00 per vehicle.

Refunds for the reservation fee will not be given; however, if your event is canceled due to inclement weather, the Parks & Recreation Department will reschedule your event based on availability.


Guidelines for Use of Facilities

The following is prohibited at all county facilities.

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Camping or lodging
  • Controlled substances
  • Damaging or defacing property
  • Erecting signs or banners
  • Fireworks
  • Live Bands
  • Temporary carnival or amusement rides
  • Vending or fund-raising
  • Political activities
  • Tobacco
