The Mission of the Fayette County Marshal's Office is to serve the citizens of Fayette County by ensuring compliance with all adopted county codes and ordinances by providing effective public contact and education, building cooperative partnerships throughout our community, and enforcing all laws in an equitable and impartial manner. Our goal is to promote a positive image of the Fayette County Marshal's Office to our community and our allied County Departments by fostering a culture that is helpful, approachable, knowledgeable and of the highest integrity.
The Marshal's Office responsibilities include the enforcement of hunting, fishing and boating safety regulations. Other duties include the enforcement of county ordinances and codes. Implementing safety precautions on county-owned property ensures the safety of the public when visiting Fayette County facilities whether a park, lake, recreation facility or business office. Additionally, the Marshal’s Office is responsible for the security of Fayette County facilities and properties located throughout the unincorporated area of Fayette County, Peachtree City, Tyrone, Fayetteville, Brooks, Woolsey and Starr’s Mill. Incidents occurring on County property, whether accidental or intentional, are investigated by the Marshal’s Office to determine whether criminal activity is involved or if any County liabilities exist.
