IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is commonly believed that dry conditions and safety concerns are the only reason that burn permits are not currently being issued. Please be advised that there are many factors that the Department uses to determine whether outdoor burning permits should be issued. These conditions include but are not limited to dissipation of smoke, ceiling, mixing height and other atmospheric conditions. Please note that if permits are not being currently issued it is because one or more of these conditions is occurring. Conditions periodically change so please check back often as we will allow permits to be issued when outdoor burning conditions improve.
