Fayette County regularly engages in a process of planning for the future transportation needs of county residents and businesses. Transportation planning is the process of working with community members, elected officials, and stakeholders to define goals, policies, and future investments. Decision making is supported by a data driven analytical process.
In CY 2019, Fayette County completed five major Transportation Studies:
The Comprehensive Transportation Plan update and the Master Path Plan are being developed jointly by one project team and are often referred to as the Transportation Plan.
Each of the five studies were presented to City, Town and County staff, elected officials, and the public. For more information on recent Fayette County transportation studies please view the sidebar on the left side of the page.
