This office cannot provide direction or guidance on the ramifications of the "Constitutional Carry" legislation which is now in effect other than to note that this legislation does not affect the issuance of Weapons Carry Licenses.

Applications for Firearms Licenses are accepted Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.. You MUST complete your application in advance online through our Court Manager website. If you need additional information please call 770-716-4220.

Residency and age must be proven either by a drivers license or state ID card. applicants must be legal residents of Fayette County and at least 21 years of age.

FIREARM LICENSE APPLICATION FEE IS $78.25.

LICENSE RENEWAL FEE IS $30.00. *
*Previous Georgia license with 90 or fewer days before expiration or 30 or fewer days since expiration.
