All four are open to fishing. Sailboats, rowboats and electric motors are allowed at Lake Kedron, Lake Horton, and Lake McIntosh. Hydrocarbon or alcohol-fueled power boats or other vessels so powered are prohibited. The lakes are open from 6:30 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. EST or 6:30 a.m. till 8:30 p.m. DST. Anyone fishing or boating must comply with all DNR rules and regulations. No swimming, skiing, scuba diving or other bodily contact with the water is allowed.
Docks and boat ramps are available at Lake Horton, Lake McIntosh and Lake Kedron. Lake Horton and Lake McIntosh have walking trails. Starr's Mill has picnic tables available.
Located in northern Peachtree City on Peachtree Parkway North, Lake Kedron is a 235-acre reservoir which stores approximately 1.0 billion gallons of water and will safely yield 3.5 MGD during drought conditions. All Fayette County residents are welcome to fish in Lake Kedron.
The Fayette County Water System purchased the historic Starr's Mill in February, 1991. The millpond will be used as an additional water source for the System. This purchase included the mill house, dam, and approximately 16 acres of land. It is located on Highway 85 south of Fayetteville and will continue to be used for fishing, family gatherings and picnics.
Lake Horton, located in south Fayette County at 1275 Antioch Road, Fayetteville, Ga. 30215, is 780 acres and stores 3.5 billion gallons of water. The lake provides 16 -18 million gallons per day during drought conditions. Lake Horton Park is 82 acres and offers 2.8 miles of paved walking trails, boat ramps, picnic areas and fishing. No swimming, skiing, scuba diving or other bodily contact with the water is allowed.

Lake McIntosh Park located at 3501 TDK Boulevard, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269 is a 650 acre reservoir on Line Creek and was completed in December 2012. The yield of the lake is 10.4 million gallons of water per day for treatment at the Crosstown Water Plant. The park provides the only public access to the lake. The park amenities include a tot lot, two pavilions, restrooms, ramps to launch boats, picnic tables and a paved walking trail. Pavilions may be reserved for events with at least five (5) people by contacting Parks and Recreation at 770-716-4320.
