Department of Buiding Safety Stand-Alone Permits
Reminder: All permits are reviewed by intake staff; do not use the Stand-Alone permit if your work exceeds the list below. Your application will be rejected and abandoned, delaying your permitting submission.
Stand Alone permits are simple permits that require a plan review for any Mechanical, Plumbing, or Electrical work associated with any of the following work classes:

- Duct Work
- Gasline-New
- Gasline-Reconnect
- Geothermal System
- HVAC New installation (not to be included with any other permit)
- HVAC Replacement
- Pool Heater
- Stove/Cook Top
Plumbing
- Bathtub/shower
- Dishwasher
- Fire Pit
- Floor Drain
- Garbage Disposal
- Gasline-Reconnect
- Geothermal Systems
- Sink/Tub
- Toilet/Bidet/Urinal
- Washing Machine
- Water Filer System
- Water Foundation
- Water Heater Change
- Water/Septic Lines
- Well Pumps
Electrical:
- Cable/Outlet/Panel Work
- Charging Station
- Electric Heating Unit
- Electric Repair: Mast and Meterbase Only
- Generator/Xfer Switch
- Low Voltage
- New Electrical Service
- Panel/Meterbase Upgrade
- Pool Heater
- Septic Lift Pump
- Service Change/Service Upgrade
- Service Reconnect Evaluation
- Solar Panels
- Spa/Hot Tub/Water Feature
Apply for Stand-Alone Permits by logging into your SagesGov account, clicking the Department of Building Safety tab, click the RES or COM Stand-Alone tab and follow the submission process.
