Fayette County Road Department is responsible for dead animal pick up on the unincorporated county maintained roads only. Please read the passage below to see what applies to you:
- If you live on a state route (SR 92, 34, 54, 279, 85, 314), please call GA DOT at 706.845.4115.
- If you live in the city limits of Fayetteville, please call their Public Works Department at 770.460.4660.
- If you live in the city limits of Peachtree City, please call their Public Works Department at 770.487.5183.
- If you live in the city limits of Tyrone, please call their Public Works Department at 770.487.4038.
If you live on a county-maintained road, please read below.
The following include what the Fayette County Road Department will pick up:
- Types of animals: Deer & other large animals.
- Animal must be deceased. (If not deceased, please contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770.461.6353)
- Animal cannot be on private property, (i.e.: backyard, driveway, etc.)
The location of the animal must be by the edge of county maintained road. It is not the Road Department’s responsibility to move the animal to the edge of the road for pick up as we cannot and will not go on private property, under any circumstances.
