General Primary and General Election – November 3, 2026
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-131(a)(1), the following qualifying fees for the upcoming General and General Primary Elections have been set by the governing authorities of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners during the January 22, 2026 meeting:
Board of Education Districts 2 and 4: $306.00
County Commission Districts 3 and 4: $687.00
State Court Judge: $5,528.15
Qualifying Period:
Qualifying for the offices listed above shall commence on Monday, March 2, 2026, and shall conclude on Friday, March 6, 2026. Qualifying hours shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and shall end at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The General Primary and Nonpartisan Election will be held on May 19, 2026 and the General Election will be held on November 3, 2026.
Qualified candidates will be posted on the Fayette County website at the close of business each day during the qualifying period. The information can be found here: https://fayettecountyga.gov/departments/elections/index.php
