It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of FAO Matthew Hyder to Quartermaster for the Department of Fire & Emergency Services. He will assume his new role on 7/27/2026.
It is widely known that Matt has an impeccable sense for mechanical ability, organizing, and maintenance. These specific qualities, along with being an exceptional firefighter, FAO, and AEMT will serve him and this department well. I look forward to having him in this new role and continuing to serve the department members and the community. Matt will be a welcome addition to our Logistics Section, helping to spread the workload and improve the efficiency that has historically been the burden of only one person.
