It is my great honor and privilege to announce the appointment of Battalion Chief Bryan Blair to the rank of Assistant Chief of Fire/EMS Operations. His appointment will take effect on October 17, 2026. This provides him the time required to get his current shift prepared for his transition to HQ.
Assistant Chief Blair has been instrumental as a Shift Commander for a number of years, which includes managing and leading the responses of all calls for service on his assigned shift, as well as the safety and wellbeing of all Citizens and Fire/EMS/EMA personnel involved in those responses. He has a long-standing history as a Firefighter, Paramedic, and Fire Officer with this department.
Chief Blair fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Chief Peace.
