Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) units have reached their suggested end‑of‑life at the end of calendar year 2026. SCBAs allow fire personnel to safely enter environments that are Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health, such as structure and vehicle fires, gas leaks, and confined-space rescues. The department currently maintains 100 SCBA packs, along with 200 air cylinders, 200 regulators, 200 face pieces, and 5 Rapid Intervention Kits.
