Get a PINES Library Card

If you reside, attend school, own property or are employed in Georgia, you are eligible for a free PINES card which is valid for two (2) years. Click here to find a PINES library near you.

All applicants are required to provide proper ID, which must include a current Georgia address. Acceptable forms of ID include: 

  1. Photo ID showing current local address OR
  2. Photo ID PLUS one item from the approved list below (if photo ID does not have correct address) OR
  3. TWO (2) items from approved list below showing current, local address

Acceptable ID includes: 

  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid voter registration card
  • Valid matricula consular
  • Valid Passport
  • Checks with pre-printed addresses
  • Utility bill
  • Tax receipt or other piece of mail that shows the user's name and present address.
There is no minimum age for a child to receive a PINES card, but a parent or legal guardian must register a child for a library card. Parents or guardians must show proper ID to register a child. 

To get started, visit a local PINES library or fill out the online library card registration form. Those who complete the online application are still required to visit a local PINES library with the appropriate ID to complete the process.
