UGA Extension Fayette County Announces Annual Master Gardener Plant Sale

FAYETTE COUNTY, GA — The Fayette County Master Gardener Extension Volunteers invite the community to their annual Master Gardener Plant Sale on Saturday, April 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The sale will take place at a new location this year: 205 Lafayette Avenue, Fayetteville, near the Lafayette Educational Center (Building D).

Master Gardener Extension Volunteers will be onsite throughout the event to assist shoppers, answer plant‑related questions, and provide guidance at an information booth.

Many of the plants available for purchase have been grown or propagated by the volunteers, offering visitors healthy, locally cultivated options for their gardens and landscapes. Available items will include azaleas, fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, succulents, perennials, houseplants, native plants, and pollinator‑friendly varieties. Accepted payment methods include cash, checks, and credit cards (excluding American Express).

Proceeds from the plant sale support a variety of local Extension programs, including the Fayette Education Garden, the Veterans Memorial Garden, and the Pollinator Trail—a network of school and community gardens planted and maintained by Master Gardener Extension Volunteers.

The mission of UGA Extension is to provide lifelong learning to Georgia residents through unbiased, research‑based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth, and families. In addition to the Master Gardener program, the Fayette County Extension Office offers soil and water testing, diagnostics and plant identification, and a range of free or low‑cost homeowner classes.
