“Assistant Chief Blair has been instrumental as a shift commander for a number of years, leading the response to all calls for service on his assigned shift and safeguarding the well-being of Fayette County’s citizens, as well as fire, EMS and EMA personnel involved in those responses. He brings a long-standing record of service as a firefighter, paramedic and fire officer within the department,” Chief Jeffrey Hill said.
Recently, the Fayette Chamber of Commerce awarded Chief Bryan Blair its Public Safety Award. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate courage, dedication and exceptional service to the Fayette County community.
“Throughout his distinguished tenure, Chief Blair has responded to tens of thousands of emergency calls, tirelessly and faithfully serving our citizens with an impeccable record of more than 38 years. Chief Blair exemplifies professional excellence, consistently operating and making critical decisions guided by a strong internal moral compass and an unwavering standard of integrity,” Hill said.
“Battalion Chief Bryan Blair’s remarkable career is a testament to unwavering dedication and decades of distinguished service overseeing operations,” County Manager Steve Rapson said.
Chief Blair holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Columbia Southern University. He is a nationally registered paramedic, a Georgia-certified basic emergency manager, NPQ Fire Officer IV, Fire Instructor II, incident safety officer and certified financial planner.
