FAYETTE COUNTY, GA - August 7, 2025 - The Fayette County Board of Commissioners announces that Assistant County Administrator Jason Tinsley has been appointed to serve on multiple committees for the National Association of Counties (NACo) for the 2025-2026 term.
Tinsley will serve on the Finance Standing Committee, the Finance, Pensions and Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee, the Programs and Services Standing Committee, and the Rural Action Caucus.
In a letter from NACo President J.D. Clark, Tinsley was recognized for his commitment and dedication to county government and selected for his leadership and active involvement in advancing the priorities of America’s counties.
President Clark’s initiative for his term, titled County Storytellers, aims to elevate the voices of counties across the nation by turning data into narratives, embracing technology, and building trust and connection through authentic storytelling. The initiative seeks to inspire counties to share bold and courageous stories that reflect the impact and value of local government.
“We are proud to have Jason representing the county's interests on matters pertaining to the financial resources and fiscal management-related issues. This appointment is an opportunity to provide leadership on a national scale,” said County Administrator Steve Rapson.
“Fayette County takes great pride in our fiscal stewardship, and I’m confident Jason will serve Georgia's counties and the nation well in this leadership role.”
Key NACo events include the 2026 Legislative Conference, set for February 21–24 in Washington, D.C., and the Annual Conference, scheduled for July 17–20 in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
The Fayette County Board of Commissioners congratulates Assistant County Administrator Tinsley on this well-deserved national recognition and looks forward to the leadership and insight he will bring to the NACo committees.
