Fayette County, GA Fayette County Fire and Emergency Services proudly celebrated the graduation of its first Paramedic Class on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Fayette County Fire and EMS Training Center.
This milestone marks a historic achievement for the department, highlighting its commitment to advancing emergency medical care and training excellence within the community, said Fire Chief Jeffrey Hill.
“This graduation signifies far more to me than the conclusion of a paramedic class. It represents the foundation for advancing pre-hospital emergency medical training for our personnel, our community, and the citizens of Fayette County. Our training staff has worked tirelessly to elevate the capabilities of the department’s training division and our newly opened training center. Implementing an in-house paramedic program was just one phase of that transformation. This inaugural class will be the group by which our accreditation aspirations are evaluated, and I cannot think of a better set of students or instructors for that responsibility. Their determination and grit to stay the course and complete the program deserve recognition. I am proud of each one of them and proud of the departments and communities they represent,” he said.
“As Program Director, I couldn’t be prouder of our inaugural paramedic class. These graduates have set a powerful precedent, demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and a deep commitment to clinical excellence. The success of these students sets an incredible foundation for the future of our program and clinical excellence to serve the citizens of Fayette County,” Captain Anderson said.
The ceremony concluded with refreshments and a recognition of current and former paramedics who have paved the way for this new generation of lifesavers.
Chief Jeffrey W. Hill, Program President, welcomed guests and congratulated the graduates on completing the rigorous paramedic training program.
